Transportation

***Bus service will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only***

Transportation is provided by ARJ Transportation and is available to all After3 after school children. To use the transportation system, you must check BUS as your dismissal option when you register online for after school courses. You may select any combination of days you wish, from one to three days of the week. The daily routes will be established during the first week of the semester, and once established will be permanent for the duration of the semester. We service the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Tribeca/Battery Park, and parts of Brooklyn (i.e. Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene, and Prospect Heights).

  • Due to a recent increase from the bus company we’ve had to update our terms of bus service. The bus will be now be for the entire semester, per day of the week. Payment will now be charged in full, or in three installments.
  • Bus Fee: Mondays – $375.00, Wednesdays – $425.00, Fridays – $325.00
  • We offer a payment plan in three installments: First payment due at the time of registration, second installment due on February 15th, and the third installment due on March 15h, 2024. Administrative Fees ($25.00) will be added to all accounts who select to pay in installments.
  • No refunds will be issued for school closing, holidays and days that After3 is not in session.
  • Please note the bus is a separate purchase from courses, you must add busing to your cart during registration.
  • Any parent late for pick up 3 or more times will be charged a $25 late fee.

Bus Information: When registering for the bus please indicate a cell phone number and your cell phone provider. This will allow us to send you a text message when the bus is leaving the school. Our aim is to depart daily at 5:00pm. However, most bus will leave 10 minutes earlier to avoid traffic. The buses will be operational starting the first day of afterschool. If you are planning on registering for afterschool and also plan on using the bus option for your child’s dismissal, you need to register online by the deadline Thursday, January 4th by 12pm. After the deadline, parents will need to email after3bus@gmail.com for permission to register for the bus, as any registrations after the deadline will not be honored.

Bus Registration: Busing is now listed as a separate course and will not be automatically added to the selected course. Here are a few important steps below:
  • Please select bus as your dismissal for your courses;
  • You’ll need to also add the corresponding bus “course” to your shopping cart.
  • You’ll have the option to pay in full or via payment plan

Bus Routes: Bus routes are based on students enrolled for each particular day. Once online registrations have closed, bus routes for the semester will be created. Parents will receive a first draft of the bus routes one to two weeks after the close of online registrations. Parents can request a specific stop during this time. Once the final draft of the bus routes have been set, no new stops will be added. Please note that we try to combine students who are close enough together, and ask families at the beginning and middle of the route to walk a little more to get everyone home at a decent time. Please note, arrival times are estimates and can vary due to congestion, accidents and traffic patterns.
